Summer visitors disembarking from the train at Lake Station to the steamboat landing at the height of the area's tourist boom. The steamboats "Edmund Burke," the "Lady Woodsum," and the "Armenia White" are reported to have sold 15,000 tickets in the summer of 1888!! As recently as 1914, the Woodsum fleet made approximately 20 stops each day to pick up and deliver passengers. The 650-passenger "Armenia White" was the largest ship ever to sail Lake Sunapee.
